Artist-Teacher Project at Bezalel
The Artist-Teacher program is a pilot program for training art students in pedagogy, education and social sciences and for bringing art to peripheral communities.
The studies for an art teacher's certificate are conducted in the context of a special art teaching program of the Hebrew University, School of Education, Teacher Training Department and at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, through a full curricular scholarship.
Upon completion of the curricular program, graduates undertake to teach art for a period of 3 years at a school located in Israel's geographical or social periphery.
The project combines a program of education studies with a practical experience of involvement in and contribution to society for Bezalel students, and provides the students with an opportunity to expand their art studies and become involved in social-educational activities.
