Yuval Yasky is an active architect, curator and researcher based in Tel Aviv, Israel. He is a founding partner at "Yasky Architects", a firm specializing in urban and strategic planning, and architecture of large scale complex projects.

Yuval has been teaching Architecture and Urbanism for over a decade, first at the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) and since 2002 at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design where he established the research unit titled "City/State" in 2006 which deals with in-depth research of the unique qualities and circumstances of Israeli spatial organization. Since 2010 Yuval serves as Chair of the Architecture Department.

Yuval published and edited books and essays about Israeli architecture and urbanism, and curated a few exhibitions dealing with those topics. His main research topic in recent years has been the planning and architecture of the Kibbutz and its relevance to contemporary urbanism. In 2010 he was the co-curator of the Israeli exhibition to the 12th Venice Architecture Biennale "Kibbutz- an Architecture Without Precedents" along with Galia Bar-Or which was later exhibited in Europe and North America. In 2011 he curated "Kibbutz- Bauhaus: Pioneers of the Collective" in the Bauhaus Foundation in Dessau, Germany. In the last summer, part of his research was depicted in the catalog of the exhibition "Century of the Child" at the MoMA in NYC. Yuval has been guest lecturer in some of the most prestigious institutions, such as the CCA in Montreal, Canada, Harvard University, the Graham Institute and others.

In the past 4 years Yuval's research focus shifted and he is now researching the Southern region of Israel and its idiosyncratic qualities. This research is documented and exhibited in the Abitare online blog "Southern Exposure" edited by Yuval's research partners Matanya Zack and Iddo Ginat (http://www.abitare.it/en/southern-exposure/online-editors-iddo-ginat-and-matanya-sack/).

During the social protest in Israel on the summer of 2011, Yuval was member of the Yona-Spivak experts team, that consulted the protestors on professional issues.
