Kaminski Vered, Prof.

.Vered Kaminski was born in 1953 in Kibbutz Revadim, Israel. In 1979 she completed her studies in metalwork at Jerusalem’s Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, and continued her studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. She earned her Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Paris 8 in 1988, and began teaching in the Department of Jewelry and Fashion at Bezalel. She has been a guest lecturer at a number of academies and schools for design around the world, and was named professor in 2007.
Her awards include the Alix de Rothschild Prize for Judaica (1987); the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport’s Design Award (2004); first place in the Crate and Barrel Israeli Product Design Award for the Home and its Surroundings; and the Andy Award (2014).
Kaminski’s work has been displayed in solo exhibitions in the Israel Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and more, as well as in galleries around the world, including New Jersey, Paris, Vienna, Amsterdam, and Legnica, Poland. Kaminski has participated in many group exhibitions, and her works are among the collections of the Spertus Museum, Chicago; the Stedelijk Museum in Schiedam, the Netherlands; the Museum of Decorative Arts, Paris; New Pinakothek der Moderne Museum, Munich, Germany
The Metropolitan Museum and the Jewish Museum, New York; the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; and The Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
