Eitan Michal

Michal is a seasoned leader, entrepreneur and educator in the fields of sustainability, technology, entrepreneurship and ground-breaking systematic thinking processes. Michal brings to the M-Des Program links to the most significant worlds for the development of the design world and to the ability for design innovation to be translated into success and cultural and economic influence.

Michal has a proven and rich experience in the design and building of new businesses, both independent and within existing organizations. She has a broad understanding of environmental and social processes around the globe and the new opportunities and needs of the modern business reality. She demonstrates the capacity to connect business thinking with design, environmental and social thinking and understanding. Michal also has a rich experience in the development of policy and thinking processes in a variety of organizations – from global corporates to public organizations.

Before joining Bezalel Michal managed the "Israel 2028: Vision and Strategy for Economy and Society in a Global World" project, served as a VP operations and was member of the founding team at Check Point Software Technologies Inc., and as VP in a technology incubator – JVP Studio. In addition Michal was a sustainability consultant for both many well-established industrial corporations and for a large number of start -up companies.

Michal holds a BA in sociology and business from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an MA in urban and regional planning from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. Graduate of the Heschel Sustainability leadership fellows program and the Technion Institute of Management senior management course

She is teaching at the M-Des Program since 2006, specializing in entrepreneurship and sustainability and as a mentor for final projects.
In 2012 Michal was appointed head of the M-Des program at Bezalel.
