Guest Lecturer at the Urban Design Master's Degree Program

The Urban Design Graduate Program invites you to a lecture by Prof. David Simon, Professor of Development Geography, University of London, and director of Mistra Urban Futures. Mistra's approach is to bring different actors together, from research and practice, who together co-create knowledge and understanding that promotes sustainable urban futures. Prof. Simon will present Mistra's
comparative international co-production project working with 7 cities on 4 continents to examine how they engage with and are implementing UNESCO's New Urban Agenda and urban SDG.
The lecture will be followed by a launch of the new book by Prof. Simon, Holocaust Escapees and Global Development: Hidden Histories, which explores the pioneering role played by mostly Jewish refugee scholars in the creation of development studies and practice following the Second World War.
For more information see the Facebook event. The event will be held in English. Entrance is free.
