Why do we perceive some objects as trash and others as alluring commodities? Why do different cultures manage waste in different ways? And which lessons can our waste teach us about the era we live in? In this course, we will discuss waste from different cultural perspectives, such as consumer culture, urban culture, collecting and hoarding. Each session will consist of a theoretical discussion and a practice session in groups.
