Tuition – Bachelor's Degree and Diploma Studies
Tuition at Bezalel is determined by the Council for Higher Education and is identical to that in the universities. The full tuition for the 2008 year in terms of the CoL index for June 2007 is NIS 11, 517. In addition, all students of the academy are required to participate in security expenses, which will be determined. Costs related to the purchase of tools and materials must also be taken into consideration. These costs differ from department to department: there are those in which payment is collected for materials and equipment, supplied by the academy, while in others each student must acquire the necessary equipment.
In accordance with the government's decision, the tuition in Israeli institutes of higher learning for students with Israeli citizenship studying towards a Bachelor's degree was reduced between 2002 – 2007. The rate of tuition for 2008, after this reduction, is expected to come to NIS 8522.
In the event of acceptance to Diploma studies (in the Animation or Video and New Media Units), there will be no reduction in tuition, and the full amount of tuition must be paid – NIS 11, 517. Students who are foreign citizens must pay NIS 14, 036.
According to the instructions of the Planning and Budgeting Committee near the Council of Higher Education, we wish to indicate that in the event that the academy will not receive complete coverage for the reduction from the government as obliged by the government's decisions, the students will be required to pay the full amount of tuition, without any reduction (NIS 11, 517).
The tuition is linked to the CoL index known on the day of payment.
Students who are foreign residents and Israeli students who receive full or partial financing in the framework of work agreements or salary agreements between employees and employers, or in the framework of institutional, governmental or other public financing, will pay a tuition that is 25% higher than the regular tuition (this addition does not apply to those who receive the military trust fund, "pikadon").
