Technology from Head to Toe Hadar Shapira and Sarit Youdelevich Advanced technologies enable the expanding of the human body capabilities in various ways and forms. Technology becomes smaller, more efficient, effective, accessible and available. Thus, challenging different disciplines in our culture on how we can harness technology into designing for the body. As designers, we should watch forward, predict and formulate the future evolution. The course will take the designer stand: how should we assimilate the technologic opportunities within design for the future human body. The course will combine theoretical knowledge and hands-on students experiments. As a group, we will study, research and investigate current developments of wearable technology, build a vocabulary and construct set of works as references. Upon these, each student will define and design a wearable product, object or system, which will be developed and presented at the end of the semester.
