What is spatial design? A narrative or curatorial content that transformes into 3 dimensional experiment using all senses in which the spectator is exposed to new knowledge in a clear way. An exciting field that integrates extensive knowledge areas as architecture, visual communication, design, cinema and theatre and is expressed using tools of light and lighting, multimedia, music and more. Exhibition design requires the designer to use different methods of presentation and tools such as: multimedia, video, projection, interactive installations, lighting, sound and music. Architects, designer and artist use the discipline as an innovative platform for creativity. During this course, The students will visit museums and exhibitions and will meet curators and designers engaged in the field. The course ends with the presentation of a group project that begins with curatorial proposal and ends with the design of an exhibition in a given area in the Israel Museum. The work will be presented using curatorial texts, photographs, videos, models and hand and computerized sketches.
