סדנת נושא - פואטיקה חזותית: הספר כחדר פלאות אישי

The Book as a "Cabinet of Curiosities" is an elective course, dedicated to examinations and explorations of the "Book" as a conceptual, along side a physical mechanistic object, and as a possible container for a new- non narrative- visual experience. In the course we will challenge traditional hierarchies and relationships between format, content, text and visual language, wondering about the possibility of a different form of reading/viewing/participating. As suggested in Umberto Eco's article "The Open Text" in which we will discuss in the course. During the course we will practice creating personal books dealing with the student's subject of interests, and demonstrating their understandings of the endless possibilities of using the "book" as a personal container for poetic visual writings, and of non narrative visual practices.
