Noa Berman-Herzberg
Noa Berman-Herzberg is a screenwriter, director, lecturer, and a "serial pickler". She has been teaching screenwriting courses and mentoring graduation films in the Department of Screen-based Arts at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem since 2005.
Berman-Herzberg holds a B.A. with honors from the General Literature department from Tel Aviv University, a Certificate of Excellence from the Screen writing Department of Camera Obscura film school and an M.A. in Film Culture from the Haifa University.
Among her projects: The Liberation (124 min., USA, 2026), which she co-wrote with director Guy Nattiv, starring Carrie Coon, Lily James, and Bella Ramsey; Holy Holocaust (17 min., 2022), an award-winning animated documentary based on her screenplay and co-directed with Osi Wald; Mabul (89 min., 2011), directed by Guy Nattiv, which screened at numerous international film festivals received a Special Mention at the Berlin International Film Festival and other prizes.
She serves as a script reader for film funds and festivals, as a mentor in screenwriting and animation labs, and as a script "doctor" and consultant on various projects. Over the years, she has taught screenwriting in various film schools such as Sam Spiegel Film School, Camera Obscura & Minshar in Tel Aviv.
Since 2017 she hosts "Sour Food Sour Stories" events, under the name "Serial Pickler" in Israel and around the world.
This personal project, which combines storytelling and a culinary experience, was also transformed into a radio show in Galei Zahal and into a documentary film.
