Pastiche

Pastiche is an imitation of an existing artistic style.

Unlike parody that ridicules the original, pastiche adopts the aesthetic features of the original style out of appreciation and as a source of inspiration.

In this course we will analyze visual characteristics of different styles in art history and learn to create images that use these different visual languages ??in a contemporary context, enriching our creative toolbox. We will examine and practice different approaches to pictorial space, colour palettes and figuration.
