The Magicians’ Club

Date:
1.7.21

The terms ‘witchcraft’ and ‘magic’ have related to photography since its earliest days – from Man Ray through Claude Cahun, to Dada and Surrealism. Light can enable us to see or make us blind, it accentuates color and depth through shadow play, and can generate a dense, expressive emotional effect of mystery. The works in this exhibition seek to look at magic and witchcraft through the photographic medium, and through advanced techniques of body and three dimensional printing.

The exhibition is an interactive space which invites the viewers to take an active role: to photograph and be photographed.
