Idan Rooze is the Winner of the GDWC Student Game Award

Idan Rooze, who graduated from the Visual Communication Department in 2021, has won the GDWC Student Game Award for his final project “Incarnation.”

GDWC – the Game Development World Championship – is one of the foremost annual global competitions for game developers of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. Each year, hundreds of game developers send their projects in the hope of gaining international exposure and recognition. Rooze won for “Incarnation,” a mouse-only roguelite with reverse progression where players embody a divine entity on its journey to become human, gradually losing its celestial abilities as the game progresses.

The game will be featured in the New Gaming Hub Game Expo on Monday, March 28, at Shaare Zedek
