Matan Shamai and Tamar Tivon, from the Department of Ceramic and Glass Design, have won the "First Studio" scholarship at Beit Binyamini, the Center for Contemporary Ceramics.

Beit Binyamini's "First Studio" scholarship helps young artists and designers, graduates of art and design departments in academies in Israel, to successfully make the transition between graduation and the professional world outside the academy.

Beit Binyamini will provide a fully equipped work space and in return, Tivon and Shamai will participate in the management and operation of the studio at the Beit Binyamini Ceramic Art School. The scholarship makes it possible to continue creating in the field, to establish relationships with experienced ceramic artists, and to take part in the many and varied activities in the Center Region.
