Orit Bergman Promoted to Associate Professor of Practice

Orit Bergman, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Visual Communication, has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor for Practice.

Prof. Bergman is an illustrator, children’s author, and creator for the stage, and former head of Illustration in the Department of Visual Communication at Bezalel.

She has written and illustrated 17 children’s books and illustrated many others and has adapted three of her books for the stage. Prof. Bergman has twice received an honorable mention in the Israel Museum’s Ben Yitzhak Prize, is a two-time winner of the Dvorah Omer Prize for Children’s and Young Adult Literature, has won the Sasa Setton Prize for Children’s Literature, has been awarded a silver medal from the New York Society of Illustrators, the World Illustration Award – Overall Professional Winner, and the Minister of Education’s Design Prize. Her works have appeared in numerous collections and exhibitions in Israel and abroad.
