Ofri Dar | Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem

Ofri Dar

Ofri Dar is an industrial designer, researcher, and lecturer in the Polonsky Department of Industrial Design at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem. Based in Tel Aviv, she works as a Senior Designer at Studio Scintilla. At Bezalel, she teaches digital modeling with SolidWorks and the integration of artificial intelligence into design processes.

Dar graduated with honors from Bezalel’s Department of Industrial Design and holds an M.Sc. in Architecture from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Her master’s research explored ceramics that shape themselves during firing through layers with different shrinkage rates. Combining material experiments with computational simulations, it examined how material properties, geometry, and gravity influence the transformation of flat surfaces into three-dimensional structures.

Her professional experience includes industrial design at Waves Audio, exhibition design, project management, and curation. She co-led “Creative-Differences,” an interdisciplinary project showcased at the London Design Biennale, and has teaching experience in digital fabrication and computer-aided manufacturing.

Her work explores relationships between people, science, and nature, combining analytical research with intuitive experimentation. She brings together computational design, programming, digital fabrication, and craft to develop forms, objects, and workflows.
