Orit Bergman, head of the illustration field in the Department for Visual Communication, and department graduates Alona Milgram and Noa Peled made the final list of  the AOI, the UK Association of Illustrators' annual international competition.

The illustrations of Orit Bergman were created for the book "If only" written by Yoram Taharlev for Yedioth Ahronoth Books, Modan and Pajama Publishing Houses. The book describes a collection of animals that imagine how good it is, to be the children of different parents. The kangaroo longs for a tiger mother, the tiger cub for a lion father, the little lion for a hippopotamus mother and circling back to mother kangaroo.

The illustrations of Alona Milgram were created for the book "The princess and the stone" written by Ruth Calderon, published by Modan Publishing House last year, and this year by Pajama Publishing. The story deals with a non-princess like princess, at least not in the usual sense in which princesses are depicted in the majority of children's stories, but rather as a smart, independent girl who isn't afraid to get dirty.

"Snow" is a short story written and illustrated by Noa Peled, as part of her studies in the "Book of Tomorrow" course led by Merav Salomon. The story deals with the powerful relationship between a girl in the kibbutz and Snow, the next door neighbor's dog.
