Wrapping Memory is an illustration project that seeks to commemorate the beauty of the land surrounding Gaza before the catastrophic events that occurred there on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in order to raise donations for the residents of the Gaza Envelope area who were affected by the attack. The illustrations are presented to the general public through a dedicated website established for the benefit of the project.

Participants in the illustration project are all volunteers; lecturers, graduates, and fourth-year students from the Department of Visual Communication at Bezalel, and in cooperation with the WIX company and the “Shoresh” Foundation.

On the site, which was established courtesy of the WIX company, you can find diverse illustrations created using different techniques. What all the illustrations have in common is the depiction of the different settlements and landscapes of the Gaza Envelope communities as they were before the attack, with an emphasis on landscapes, iconic public buildings, etc. At the end of the donation process, the illustrations are awarded to the donors as a token of appreciation for their contribution.

Bezalel appreciates and thanks the WIX company that contributed to the design and construction of the website. The donations will be transferred in full to the "Shoresh" fund, which is working to provide immediate help to the residents of the Gaza Envelope area.
