Created in 2018 and organized by CHRONIQUES – a project of the associations Seconde Nature in Aix-en-Provence and ZINC in Marseille – the Biennial of Digital Imaginaries is the highlight of digital arts and cultures in the South region. Exploring visual arts, sound arts and live performance, the Biennial is interested in the presence and use of digital and new technologies in art, invests the public space and gives voice to national and international artists from different backgrounds.

Blooming Festival in Pergola, Italy welcomes an external new media art project for one of its locations through the open call #bloomingyou. The selected project should match the concept of ‘blooming’, meant as evolution or change.
The festival is looking for projects/works/processes at the intersection of nature and technology, which are inspired by, reproduce or rework suggestions, phenomena or natural elements of all kinds through technologies.
The festival itself will take place on 9-10 September 2023.

The committee funds cultural events, books, courses and lectures for the general public while at the same time focusing on youth-oriented projects (teacher training programs, educational projects in Jewish schools, etc.). It also encourages teaching and translation projects involving the Yiddish and Ladino languages and supports Jewish Studies with research grants.

With this call, we invite legal entities from all cultural and creative fields in Europe and neighbouring countries to submit an ambitious curatorial proposal that will ensure the visibility, accessibility and positioning of the European Pavilion as a major European cultural event in 2024. We are looking for proposals that explore, discuss, interpret and visualise Europe in fresh and imaginative ways.

Through Globus Call, we support artistic and cultural collaborations which in their practice aim to break down traditional barriers and work across cultural, social, historical, geographical or professional boundaries. The program encourages the building of cross-cutting collaborations and networks that seek new perspectives and develop dialogue across contexts. The intention is to meet artists in the contexts and positions in which they find themselves, and to support them with trust and a willingness to take risks.
The maximum amount that can be granted is DKK 700,000. Please note that projects at last year’s Call on average were supported with approx. DKK 350,000 DKK.

The cogito foundation aims to achieve a better understanding of the scientific way of thinking among the general public. It also strives to show the importance of basic scientific research. Here, the focus should not be on the dissemination of the latest research results, but rather on the process of the Scientific method and the implications of its most basic tenants. Projects can be granted for a maximum period of three years. The amounts granted vary with the type of project either around 10'000 CHF or around 50’000 CHF.

The upcoming edition of Porto Design Biennale will take place from 19 October - 3 December 2023 in the cities of Porto and Matosinhos, Portugal. The event will feature a range of exhibitions, installations, and projects, all curated by Fernando Brízio, exploring the theme ‘Being Water: How we flow together and shape each other’.
As part of this year’s event, the organisers have announced an Open Call for Satellite Projects, inviting designers and cultural agents to submit their proposals related to the theme. This is an opportunity for artists to show their work and express critical interpretations of the general theme through debates, workshops, exhibitions, publications, interventions, and collaborations.
Up to ten selected projects will receive monetary support, with grants of 3000, 6000, and 9000 EUR available.

The Belmont Forum welcomes proposals for collaborative research on cultural heritage and climate change, to foster collaboration among the research community across several regions. Proposals must address one of the following themes: the impact of climate change on cultural heritage; cultural heritage as a resource for climate mitigation and adaptation; or sustainable solutions for heritage. The Belmont Forum will fund three-year projects. All projects should include 3 funding agencies from 3 different countries.

The artist-in-residency programme Hydromedia: Seeing With Water proposes to sidestep conventional visual approaches to global warming. Artists and experimental photographers are invited to submit a proposal to develop innovative and hands-on tools during a one-month residency in October 2023 at the Utrecht University of the Arts (HKU) and in their own studio in the months thereafter.
